We are all familiar with the saying, “Freedom is not free.” Can you imagine what our lives would be like without the 1% of our fellow citizens who join in the defense of our country by their service in the Armed Forces? Do we respect, honor, and support the past and present service members and their families who sacrifice to serve our nation, as well as the vital military installations in our state? The Palmetto Military Alliance believes we can and should do more to help our fellow citizens understand the value of the entire military presence in our midst by advocating for administrative, legislative, and regulatory changes that strengthen our military installations and ease the burdens of our service members and their families.
